PROFESSIONAL LEARNING OPPORTUNITY with SPED STRATEGIES. 
DAY 1 of 2 


ESU 8 is excited to be inviting educators and staff to participate in a two days of professional learning in service of inclusive conditions and instructional practices. There, participants will engage in interactive learning opportunities before applying their learning to case studies that can be transferred immediately into the classroom.

DAY 1 - October 2nd:
Inclusive Mindsets: Begins fostering the mindsets needed to advance inclusive strategies and systems in schools. 

Collaborative Planning:
Enhances knowledge and skill in collaboration to maximize planning between general and special education teachers. 


Please sign up for Day 2 on February 19, 2025. This day will cover: 

Universal Design for Learning (UDL): Introduces and models the applications of a universal design approach to increase access to grade-level learning for all students. 

Embedding Choice Using UDL: Builds on an understanding of UDL to apply choice as a scaffold into a learning environment in service of benefiting all students in grade level learning.
