UFLI Foundations Implementation Training

The University of Florida Literacy Institute Implementation training will provide participants with an in-depth overview of the UFLI Foundations program. The training session will cover essential background knowledge components, the 8 steps of the program, and progress monitoring and differentiation. Participants will have an opportunity to see lesson steps modeled and engage in hands-on practice with support. Training provided by UFLI. 

Target Audience: K-2 teachers, interventionists, Special Education teachers, Title teachers, Elementary Principals, para educators, instructional coaches

In an effort to continue advancing MTSS initiatives at the secondary level, ESU 8 will be hosting secondary MTSS gatherings to promote collaboration among school teams on their MTSS processes. Schools are encouraged to bring whole teams and/or at least two members. This session will focus on:

- Important Updates
- Discussing tiered support systems (decision rules) related to attendance, course proficiency, and other areas
- Sharing successes and challenges
- Collaboratively addressing any obstacles districts may be facing regarding MTSS
- Facilitated Team Time

This session will guide participants through a review of key Tier 1 Core features, emphasizing strategies for building equitable, inclusive learning environments that support the success of all learners. Through discussion, reflection, and hands-on activities, educators will explore how UDL principles can strengthen Tier 1 instruction and promote access and engagement for every student.
