I hope this message finds you well. Our upcoming meeting on Wednesday, December 8th, is set to be a bit unique. Firstly, we're planning a potluck, and each Lan Director is invited to contribute a dish of their choice. It's a great opportunity to share some good food and camaraderie.
I'm excited to introduce our new NNNC specialist, Mr. Jeff Uchtman, who has stepped into the role previously held by Mr. Andy Boell. Mr. Uchtman comes from Columbus Public Schools, bringing a wealth of experience in FortinetEDR, FortiAnalyser, and email security. His expertise will be invaluable as he assists ESU 8 and your schools in securing server infrastructure with FortiEDR, analyzing network infrastructure using FortiAnalyzer, and ensuring the security of email communication through DKIM, SPF, and DMARC.
A big thank you to Mr. Boell for attending the meeting and providing insights into his new role in the Cyber Security department, outlining the benefits it brings to your schools.
Additionally, we have a presentation from Zoom for Education at 10:00 AM. There are exciting updates, including their own VOIP phone feature.
During our meeting, I'll discuss our new Ticket System, designed to efficiently organize tech requests and enable the ESU 8 tech department to respond more promptly to your needs.
We'll delve into the details of network segmentation and introduce the Action1 patch management solution, which automates the identification and fixing of server/device vulnerabilities. Finally, we'll explore Synology Backup and Backblaze cloud offsite backup.
